Martin Lawrence and Will Smith return to the big screen for the new installation of the Bad Boys franchise. Taking place a few years after the third film, Bad Boys: Ride or Die makes its own unique and thrilling mark amongst the lineup of Martin Lawrence’s and Will Smith’s track record of blockbuster hits.
Since its original release in 1995, audiences have been able to follow the development and progression of Miami police officers, Mike Lawry (Will Smith) and Marcus Miles (Martin Lawrence). From watching the dynamic duo uncover an inside job drug bust to tracking down Cuban coke dealers and even taking down a cartel “witch,” we get to join our favorite bad boy duo on a new adventure to salvage the name and reputation of their beloved late captain.
The most impressive element of the Bad Boys franchise is that each edition of the film takes audiences on a new storyline that fits the current realities of the characters. The chemistry between Lawrence and Smith remains unmatched and intact with the same on camera support and comedic timing since the first film. The cinematography adds a new thrill and adrenaline to the watching experience that will keep you glued to the screen for the total 1 hour 50 minute experience.
Bad Boys: Ride or Die is a brilliant and amusing contribution to the Bad Boys legacy, which some have claimed to be “the best franchise installation yet.”
Bad Boys: Ride or Die hits theaters Friday, June 7th, 2024.
